GhOne TV news anchor Nana Aba Anamoah has condemned the minority in parliament for describing the newly elected Member of Parliament for the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency, Madam Lydia Alhassan as "Bloody Widow".
She took to her Twitter page to write: "Someone sat down in the middle of the night, racked his/her brain and came up with BLOODY WIDOW?. And the Minority caucus thought ‘Oh, what a genius!’ oh Lord. NDC MPs no try for this one."“No no no. I don’t understand. Whose father/mother came up with BLOODY WIDOW for the Minority?”
Members of Parliament on the minority side, National Democratic Congress (NDC), on Tuesday 5th February 2019 staged a walkout during the swearing-in of Lydia Alhassan, the newly elected Member of Parliament for the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency.
The minority, however, displayed placards with the inscription “bloody widow”, which suggested that the minority was actually against the swearing- in of the newly elected Member of Parliament for the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency, Lydia Alhassan.
