French President Emmanuel Macron, 41, and his wife Brigitte Macron, 66, were pictured playing in his private office.
In the photograph taken on Sept. 9, Macron and his wife are seen enjoying some downtime, with Brigitte playfully tapping him on the head with a stack of papers as he organized papers in his private office just before dinner.
The photo taken by Christopher Anderson for TIME was just released and gives a glimpse into Macron's private life.
Macron has said that downtime is crucial for him “to remain independent and to think and remain creative.” He said his wife Brigitte organizes their private life, committing him to spending holidays and birthdays with her three children (two of whom are older than Macron) and their families. Macron refers to Brigitte's children and grandchildren as “my family". He has no known biological children of his own.
