American actress, model and entrepreneur, Lisa Raye McRoy’s recent interview on The Wendy William Show has referred to herself as the Queen Mother of Ghana.
In September this year, LisaRaye was enstooled as a queen mother of Agona Kwanyanko in the Central region.
According to reports, she was named as queen mother because of her humanitarian efforts. She was chosen for the role by the paramount chief of Agona Kwanyako, the chiefs, and the entire Kyidom Traditional Divisional Council. In her immediate reaction to the appointment, LisaRaye stated that the honour is beyond her wildest imagination. She went on to say that she would do her best to use her position to direct positive attention to the region. But in her interview with Wendy Williams, it seems she didn’t understand her title fully and confused it as one that makes her ‘the queen mother of Ghana’.
