NEARLY three weeks ago, emerging Afro pop singer, Fina posted her nude pictures on social media and while she was roundly criticised, the computer engineer turned musician says the action has yielded good results.
According to her, she has secured an endorsement deal from showing off her body which had been the plan all along.

“Through the nude pictures I posted on social media, I’ve gotten an endorsement deal from a black cosmetics company but I can’t disclose the brand's name now. When everything is settled, everyone will get to know the name. “It was something my management and I thought to do and that’s why I went nude in the photoshoot. The bold step I took was not in vain,"she told Graphic Showbiz recently.

Fina dropped the pictures before the release of her new single titled 'Yenkoteaa' and in answer to whether she did that to hype the song she said that was not part of the plan. She said, “It was not for the purpose of hyping the song but it coincided with the contents of my new single. It was not easy for me going nude because I was terrified.

“I was afraid of how people were going to react after seeing those pictures but now I must say all those fears are gone,” she said. Fina also revealed that the nudes were her first and her last. "My management and I did this to attract the endorsement deal and now that I have what I wanted, I won’t release nude pictures again,” she stated.

The LaceUp International Records signee advised young people to stay focused and pursue their goals.

“Believe in yourself because not everyone will be willing to support you. That dream and aspiration can come true if your stay focused and work hard for it,” she advised.

Born Sarafina Akua Boateng, Fina who hails from Tepa in the Ashanti Region, has songs such as ‘Ebefa’, ‘Kumcha’, ‘Today’, ‘Envy’, ‘Fake Love’ among others to her credit.
