Although talk about COVID-19 has dominated conversations around the world, in Ghana discussions around the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA's) ban on celebrities endorsing alcohol are still ongoing.
A number of celebs have expressed divergent views on the matter with some putting the FDA on blast for depriving them of one of their sources of livelihood, others believe the move is good because of the impact celebs endorsing alcohol can have on young people.
Also sharing her thoughts on the matter is actress Gloria Osei Sarfo who says she will never take on an ambassadorial role for any alcoholic beverage.
“I think it is not fair that we take the source of livelihood from people. Though for me I will never be an ambassador for any drink like that, I think people should be allowed to just be.
"If not for anything at all, there should be some consideration for people who have that as a source of income," she said in a chat on Pundits on GHOne TV recently.
Last Saturday, March 14, Gloria Osei Sarfo made Ghana proud when she won the Best Supporting Actress award at the Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards (AMVCA) held in Lagos, Nigeria.
Gloria, who was Ghana's sole nomination, won for her role in The Perfect Picture: 10 Years Later and was up against strong competitors such as Toni Tones in King of Boys, Eucharia Anunobi in The Foreigner’s God, Tina Mba in The Set Up and Mary Lazarus in Size 12.

Nollywood film, Living In Bondage was the big winner on the night with seven wins including Overall Best Movie. Its other awards are Best Director for Ramsey Nouah, Best Sound Editor, Best Cinematographer, Best Soundtrack, Best Writer and Best Movie (West Africa).
Other award winners were Beverly Naya who won Best Documentary with Skin, Funke Akindele who won Best Actress in a Comedy for Moms At War, comedian Funny Bone who took home the Best Actor in a Comedy for Smash, Toyin Abraham whose turn in Elevator Baby won her the Best Actress in a Drama trophy and Timini Egbuson who won Best Actor in a Drama also for Elevator Baby.
