Veteran Ghanaian actress, Grace Omaboe popularly known as Maame Dokono has bemoaned the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for failing to come to her aid when she was sick and in need of help.
In 2008, the “By the fire side’ host campaigned strongly for the NPP after leaving the National Democratic Congress which she originally belonged to.
In a recent interview with Graphic, Maame Dokono told the reporter that she felt disappointed that no one from the party came to her aid when she was ailing.
“To tell you frankly, when I stood behind the NPP and campaigned for them, I thought when I fell sick they would come to my aid. Apart from those who are very close, nobody has come to look for me,” she expressed disappointment.
When asked by the reporter if the party was aware that she was not in good health and needed help, she responded;
‘They are aware. Anyway some of them are aware and can pass the message across. At least my pastor’s wife from Royal House Chapel where I worship comes to visit me everyday.”

So do people join political parties for the purposes of getting help?
people are too mean, inconsiderate and disrespectful. What's wrong with people in this country? What at all did she that we haven't heard before? People should grow up! Too many mentally unstable people ready to pounce on anybody and everybody that crosses their path. 3tw3 aa aba 3ho kotie ara na y3wo no aabae.
The type of mentality we have in Ghana. Self, self, self. The whole party should come to greet you before you know NPP came to greet you, right? You know the good that the NDC did for you but you left them. The NPP knows you aren't a grateful person. But still they accepted you into their fold. From your own account, some people came to greet, check on you. so what's your problem?
Apart from those who are very close, nobody has come to look for me, how do you then say you bored with NPP as a party. Are those people you referring to not party members.
sorry Madam the NPP party is not a hospital or Doctor. They are to serve interest of Ghana and for the betterment of Ghana and not egocentric confused person.
