Ghanaian actor turned politician, John Dumelo has pledged unflinching allegiance to the largest opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
John Dumelo, who is contesting the incumbent NPP Parliamentarian, Lydia Seyram Alhassan for the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency seat, appeared on UTV's Saturday's Entertainment programme "United Showbiz" and speaking to hostess Nana Ama Mcbrown, disclosed that nobody can cut his umbilical cord to the NDC.
"I have always been an NDC person in my blood," he said.
According to him, what particularly enticed him to join the NDC is the party's belief in socialism saying, "I like the social democratic way of national development as against the capitalist way which is the NPP".
He further added that he being an NDC member or a politician will not destroy his acting career.
