YvaGiver is how she loves to be called now. Evangeline Gbenartey is sending a wave across the nations this Yuletide season!
She is a lover of Christmas and has proved this once already when she released the Christmas in Ghana album last year. This year, she says she death of her dear Mother just before the season almost crippled her plans.
But she has found the opportunity to do something with her pain and in her dear Mother’s memory. She has translated the worlds favourite ‘Holy Night’ to Akan and rendered it beautifully.
She alluded to her Mother’s love for Akan scriptures and with that inspiration as a lover of Languages herself recorded this one she calls ‘Onyame Nsa Ano’ meaning the workings of God or Divine.
“Reviews of the track and the public response since release has blown my mind!” She said.
She revealed that a few more surprises are up her sleeve and she was excited about the privilege to share her gift with the world.
