Citi FM�s Eyewitness News Wins CIMG Radio Program of The Year

Citi 97.3 FM�s News and Current Affairs programme Eyewitness News was adjudged Best Radio Programme of the Year for 2011 by the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana at a colourful event held on Saturday.

The category is sponsored by the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) and the award came with a plaque, a citation and a certificate.
The citation read �your ability to hold a large and growing audience spellbound with the programme attests to how educative and entertaining it is.

�Your listeners continue to praise you for a conscious effort at raising the bar of excellence on Ghanaian radio with well researched news and information. �Balanced with analysis, accuracy and insight, your programme has consistently brought unadulterated news package to our homes and offices.

�With sustained effort you have impressed your audience with maturity, balance, informative and fairness in your discussion. �Your programme continues to touch base with Ghanaians because of the dynamism, twists and turns that has remained a maze to your listeners and has resulted in putting businesses on the alert.

�Our assessors have rated your programme highly and the CIMG duly confer on EYEWITNESS NEWS ON CITI FM � RADIO PROGRAMME OF THE YEAR 2011.�

The CIMG Marketing Man of the Year 2011 went to Roland Agambire, Chief Executive Officer of rLG and Chairman of AGAMS group of Companies and the CIMG Marketing Woman of the Year 2011 went to Ellen A. Hagan of Laine Services.

The award was received on behalf of the station by acting news editor Richard Mensah and co-host of Citi Eyewitness News, Martin Asiedu-Dartey.
