Passionate, romantic love is very important in every relationship. Love is a process that includes how you love your partner and how your partner wants to be loved.
For some people, it may mean saying, 'I love you.' For others it may involve changing the oil in the car.
It is for this reason that everything about love sells like hot cake. And one hot love-themed commodity being offered on television these days in Ghana is telenovelas, with United Television (UTV's) Coraz�n Indomable (popularly called "Maricruz") currently in the lead.

Enter Maame Yeboah Asiedu
One significant thing about UTV's Maricruz is how it is previewed by hostess Maame Yeboah who could simply be referred to as the face of Maricruz in Ghana. Her distinguished presentation of the telenovela in Twi is one remarkable feat by the station and has attracted many followers.
When Maame Yeboah walked into our office last week, some people called her Maricruz, to which she responded cheerfully. What her viewers do not know is that she is not just a host on Okay Fm, Peace FM and UTV but a professional marriage, relationship and sex counsellor.
She has been on Peace FM�s Woba Ada Anaa?, an adult programme for the last six years, where she exhibits her counselling prowess.
She has been on other shows like 'Today's Woman' and 'Girls Girls' to counsel viewers.
In an interview, Maame Yeboah disclosed that in her formative years, she realised that people were bringing their problems to her parents to be solved.
"From the inception, I just realised that I have that gift. Counselling is a calling. Believe me, you can never be a good counsellor if you are not called to do so; you can't do it."
Maame Yeboah, is currently the host for Okay FM's, 'Life & Living,' where she and her panelists discuss diverse issues from 10 p.m. to midnight on Wednesdays.
Her services are rendered to schoolchildren, churches, married and single persons who want to add more spice to their love, repair broken relationships and thorny issues on sexuality.
According to her, "The best way to get your needs met is to communicate them clearly. Partners will always have differences. The strongest couples manage their differences without becoming over-reactive, and without disengaging from each other," she stated.
Maame Yeboah, who looks like a 'wild girl' because of her vivacious looks and personality, is rather a God-fearing mother of three - Alvin, Nana Ama and Kojo Appiagyei.
Her real name is Joyce Afriye-Asiedu and she is the first of four siblings. She hails from Akyem Oda in the Eastern Region. Her mother is Madam Vida Wilson, a deaconess in the Church of Pentecost, while her stepfather is Mr Samuel Wilson.
Born and bred in Accra, she started her primary education at the Royal Gospel and Presbyterian Junior High Schools, all in Latebiorkorshie, a suburb of Accra.
She proceeded to the St Mary's Senior High School at Korle-Gonno before enrolling at the Peace Bible College and later, the Pentecost University where she graduated with a degree in marketing.
Maame Yeboah is presently warming up to pursue a master�s degree programme in Communication to beef up her counselling and broadcasting careers.
Married to Mr Ebenezer Asiedu, she loves singing, dancing and loves bright colours that complement her skin tone.
