Musician Kwame Asare Obeng also known as Kwame A Plus says it would have been far beneficial if the huge amount of money spent on Ghana’s senior National Team, Black Stars at the recent African Cup Of Nation in Egypt had been used to lure American singer Beyonce to visit Ghana.
A-plus who calls himself “the people’s person” has keen interest in political and social issues and has for the past years been sharing his two cents on political issues. He has always used his music and influence to address issues he considers appalling.
He is the founder and convener for TPP, “The People’s Projecr” a group that seeks to ensure Ghanaians are delivered from abject poverty and treated well by politicians.
The Black Stars sparked public outrage after their extremely abysmal performance at the recent AFCON. Scores of people chided the government for spending an amount of money which could have been used to solve pressing issues on the black stars.
Speaking at the TPP celebrity dinner held in Accra on Thursday, august 22 this year, A Plus explicitly said, “it is better for the country to bring Beyonce to Ghana and give her the 4.5 million we gave the Black Stars”
He explained Beyonce’s international influence would boost tourism thereby generating massive funds for the state.
Some respected and renowned Ghanaian entertainers present at The People’s Project celebrity dinner included Hammer, Obrafour, Benedicta Gafah, Kalybos, Wei Ye Oteng, Caroline Sampson, Captain Planet, Zeal of VVIP, Abeiku Santana, Nikki Samonas, James Gardiner and many others.

This juy is just a ***barred word***,and a loser,if I may ask,is he still into music,or its gone down the drain,he should know that God no be man,he can make all the noise, but the truth still stands, what ever evil he thinks will backfire, ***barred word*** ***barred word*** ***barred word*** as he is,
A-PLUS is just on a crusade to bring Nana's govt down but he will just fail. He's now banking on his so-called 'celebrities' to launch his party called TTP. If that's his agenda he should be told that he will fail flat because he himself is NOT as clean as he wants the whole world to believe. We all know the BOST contract he was alleged to be receiving...and the pay he was alleged to have received at Korle Bu because of his un-official position as Chief of Staff for the once CEO of that facility. Just give us a break...NPP should not make the mistake to smoke any 'peace pipe' with this gentleman..he will eventually disclose publicly any discussion you have with him...I don't trust him at all. He has some corrupt 'heavy dos' behind his agenda and he must be watched. I don't mind him exposing corrupt practices of any govt but to pretend to be clean when you are not is deception of the highest order.

A-Plus, the fact that you want the current administration to lose power in the next elections doesn't mean you should speak against anything and everything whether good or bad. If you continue to do that, every thoughtful person will consider your complaints as sour grapes. In all honesty, do you think it was proper for you to be sitting in board meetings at Korle Bu? In what capacity were you participating in such meetings? When you were enjoying contracts at BOST you never complained about the gov't. You started complaining when you lost a few contracts. Now, the way you are chastising the gov't you make it look like sour grapes. If you do not think twice most Ghanaians will lose respect for you and whatever you say will be considered irrelevant. A word to the wise is enough.
