After weeks of grueling auditions that separated the best from the lot, 12 promising but yet-to-be-groomed emcees have been selected to compete during the maiden edition of the Next Big Thing Hiphop reality search.
The 12 with the stage names; Bebelino, E.D.N.A (the only female emcee) Tee-flow, Mr Illygal, Leetee, Magnificent, Nate-pro, Strongman, Jojo, King Kosovo, Selorm and Back are set to take the competition to the next level.
From here on, each week of the competition will see the emcees partaking in specific challenges in rapping and the best contestants will move on after the weekly evictions till the finals of the
competition where one of the will watch their dreams come into reality.
Sponsored by LG of Somovision, the exciting NBT series is currently running on GH-One every Sunday at 6 PM. Viewers are encourages to keep their favorite emcee from being evicted when the dreaded evictions open by texting his or her name to the short code 1758 and also check out the Facebook page for more information.
The contestants the first week met with Scientific and Mensa of FOKN bois fame who interacted and enlighten them on the business side of the Hip-hop industry. They also had some lessons on the free-styling.
After all the pampering they received from this meeting with the stars, the contestants are faced with their first perform session which will show on TV come Sunday at PM. It appears there is a lot of excitement in store for viewers of the Next Big Thing on GH-One
