Charles Martey returned a net score of 64 to win the Third Lipton Bi-Monthly Golf championship played at the Tema Country Golf Course on Saturday.
Alex Fiagomey took the second position with 68 net, beating M.K. Osei on count-back, Kwabena Boakye placed fourth with 69 net while Ernest Opoku came fifth with 70 net.
In the Ladies segment, Victoria Adjei came first with 69 net, while Leticia Amponsah-Mensah placed second with 72 net, beating Grace Afriyie and Grace Amoah on count-back.
The one-day 18-Hole Medal Play which was open to amateur golfers in the Greater Accra Region, was sponsored by Unilever Ghana Limited.
Mr Leonard Kweku Okyere, Captain of the Tema Country Golf Club thanked the company for sponsoring the competition for the third time this year.
He called on other corporate bodies to help the development and promotion of the sport in the country.
Mr Ebenezer Acheampong, Brands Manager of Unilever Ghana Limited said plans were very far advanced for the company to make the competition open to enable more golfers to participate in..
He pledged the company's commitment of assisting the development and promotion of the sport into an international standard in the country.
