Black Stars captain John The Rock Mensah has returned to the pitch after few weeks absence due to slight injury.
The Rennes strong defender suffered a hamstring injury during training session, which ruled him out of his countrys double assignment against Swaziland and Brazil a few days ago.
For now, he trains with the junior side of Rene, an initiative to test his fitness level.
He told Daily Guide Sports in an interview that I am happy to be back, I am doing extremely well.
My bosses have asked me to train with our junior side for 45 minutes, and I can say its been good. I started last week and my recovery rate has been excellent. I will soon join the mainstream, he added.
Meanwhile, he has commended young Ghana defender Jonathan Mensah and the entire team for holding the fort in his absence and promised to respond to the national call in subsequent assignments.
He thanked his fans for their prayers and goodwill messages during the slight injury.
