Vice President of the Ghana Swimming Federation, Hon. Kojo Adu Asare has filed his nomination to contest the position of Ghana Olympic Committee President at its upcoming congress.
The MP has hit the ground running, enjoying the support of the majority of stakeholders in the Olympic Movement in Ghana. According to information gathered by Daily Guide Sports, Hon. Asare, who has been an executive member of the Swimming Federation since 2006, was very instrumental at the just-ended Maputo Games in terms of assuaging the fears of athletes when the Ghanaian contingent was saddled with hitches.
In an interview, he confirmed that he had indeed filed his nomination for the GOC presidency, adding that the idea as broached by members of the Swimming Federation and of course coupled with my desire to see the Olympic Movement rise above partisanship and pettiness.
