ARSENAL idol Thierry Henry has caused a row with plans to demolish his ļæ½6million mansion and rebuild it round a giant FISH TANK.
The star has submitted proposals to knock down his eco-friendly home, which is just 13 years old, and replace it with a bigger one incorporating a four-storey aquarium.
The tank alone would cost ļæ½250,000 to build, need ļæ½12,000 a year to run and hold 300 fish in 5,500 gallons of water.
But the plans have hit opposition from locals in Hampstead, North London, who think his home is too new and impressive to be bulldozed.
Its architect Sir Richard McCormack said: "I think my design is well regarded and people are going to be upset."
Camden Council will now consider the application by Henry, 34, who has just had a loan spell with Arsenal from the New York Red Bulls.
