Bukom Banku has openly declared his ‘bleaching decision’ on GhOne TV. In an interview with morning show co-host, Kafui Dey, the controversial Ghanaian boxer says he does not regret bleaching at all.
Bukom Banku says he will continue to bleach as long as he wants. In his own words, “I will continue to bleach my skin and look like Michael Jackson. I like Michael Jackson so I will continue bleaching till I’m fair like him. People haven’t seen anything yet. It is my own skin and I will bleach the way I like. I know about Ghana weather. I know Ghana is hot but I don’t care. It is my own skin. I am not afraid of anybody. I like John Mahama, he is my father. We all come from the North. I will support him to win election 2016 again.”
Bukom Banku admits he spends at least GH₵320 weekly on his bleaching cosmetics weekly.
The Boxer caused public outrage a week ago when recent photos of his alleged skin bleaching hit the internet with several ‘wild’ comments on social media. In rebuttal to his critics, Bukom Banku has decided to switch his ‘fashion sense’ to wearing skimpy shorts to expose his nude shanks. Apart from being a professional boxer, he plays other multiple roles as a musician and an actor.
