Sometimes life kicks you in the nuts really hard and you just have to ask yourself, what crime have I committed to suffer so much?
Imagine if you were Odartey Lamptey, who one day woke up with doubts about the paternity of his kids and then had to convince those same children to take a DNA test.
That’s bad enough before the results even come into play.
The former Ghanaian footballer has revealed he had to trick his kids into taking a DNA test so he could find out whether they’re really his.
Speaking with TV3, he said he had to lie to them to get the needed DNA samples.
“It was a difficult situation, I was very close with the children and for me to be able to do this, I told them I have an infection in my throat and upon doctors advise, I should be able to cure theirs now otherwise when they grow, they will have problems…” he said.
He added that the tests also had to be done on the blind side of his then cheating wife, so he took a doctor to the children’s school to enable him collect the needed samples.
Odartey Lamptey, as you’ll probably know by now, had to divorce his ex-wife after realizing the three children he had raised with her were actually not his.
Luckily for him, he’s found love again, and gotten married and now has his own kids.
