The Hohoe branch of Vodafone Ghana beat their counterparts from the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) 2-1 in a fun match played at the E. P. Park on Monday to mark the centenary anniversary celebration of Ghanas first President, Dr Kwame Nkrumah.
Vodafone were the better side right from the onset and made several incursions into the vital area of their opponent but were severally denied by the agile ECG goalie, Adisa.
Vodafone drew the first blood on the 20th minute when skipper Sefadzi Dzobo nodded home from a Nutsugas cross from the right flank.
The ECG staged a challenge in search of cancelling the deficit only to concede another goal when Dennison beat goalie Adisa with a harmless shot to take the tally 2-0.
Both teams returned from recess with fresh limbs but the ECG team looked more purposeful and their hard work paid off when Francis Sampede scored from a penalty kick when Divine Vuha was brought down in the opponents vital area.
