Ghana striker Asamaoah Gyan has returned to training with his French side Rennes after recovering from injury.
The 22-year-old missed the weekend's Ligue One clash with Lille because of the sprain on his thigh. He suffered the injury while playing for the Ghana during the World Cup qualifier against Benin two weeks ago.
Gyan trained normally with his team on Tuesday which has given his coaches the boost that he will be available in the coming days.
Even though he has started training he is doubtful for the game against Montpellier at the weekend as doctors want him to fully recover. The striker has so far scored four goals in Ligue 1 this season.
