Sekondi Eleven Wise on Sunday beat visiting Accra Great Olympics 2-1 in their Glo Premier League match at the Sekondi Sports Stadium at Essipong on Sunday.
The two teams played squarely at the start of the match but it was Wise who stood out as the stronger and formidable side in the face of onslaughts from Olympics.
After several misses at goal, Kwabena Okyere shot Wise ahead in the 42nd minute with a powerful shot which flew past a number of defenders to land into the net of Olympics.
Olympics strove to make amends before the end of the first half but they could not accomplish this as Wise continued with their relentless attack.
On resumption of the second half, Wise continued with their attacks and were rewarded with a second goal through substitute William Owusu in the 75th minute.
Charles Amankwa managed to score a consolation goal for Olympics in the 88th minute but this could not salvage them from defeat till the final whistle.
