Dramatic Win Keeps Kessben Top

The weekend saw enough goals with the exception of the game at the Baba Yara Stadium.

However, the positions at the top in remains unchanged though there are slight changes at the bottom. A goal from Bismark Idan five minutes from time clinched a vital victory for Kessben FC as they won the seven-goal thriller against Hasaacas at the Sekondi Stadium.

Idan, who hit a brace produced the late strike to hand Kessben a 4-3 win and keep their lead at the top of the table. They now stand two points ahead of their closest challengers, AshantiGold.

Hasaacas were left to rue their performances after Joe Agyemang had scored a hat-trick but goals from James Boadu, Zugah Yufa and Idan's brace for Kessben was enough to deny them a point.

Asante Kotoko will have enough pressure to deal with after succumbing to Liberty Professionals 1-3 at the Ohene Djan Stadium. Liberty scored through Ivorian import, Kevin Kouakou and Bright Luqman before Francis Coffie pulled one back for Kotoko.

But five minutes from time, a shot by Francis Morton deflected off Kotoko's Mutalabi Mohamed for the third goal. The Porcupine Warriors who were booed by their fans after the first half.

AshantiGold continued with their fine form as they further worsened the plight of Eleven Wise with a 2-0 win at the Len Clay Stadium. Goals by Addoquaye Addo and Theophilus Amanakwah sealed the win for the Miners who are second place and kept Wise third from bottom.

A spot kick converted by Bernard Dong Bortey handed Hearts of Oak a 1-0 win over New Edubiase at the Robert Mensah Stadium in Cape Coast. The Champions, who are serving a two-game home ban struck the winner in the second half though the finished the game with ten men after Esme Mends had been sent off.

At the Kpando Park, Heart of Lions managed to pick all three points after beating Chelsea 2-1. Osei Banahene and Abraham Annan got the goals for Lions while Obed Owusu scored for Chelsea.

A late strike by Francis Aggrey in the 90th minute denied Great Olympics a point at the Golden City Park as Berekum Arsenals finished 2-1 winners.

Real Tamale United beat All Stars 2-1 at the Tamale Stadium. The defeat leaves the Blues bottom of the table. King Faisal and Aduana Stars played out a goalless draw at the Baba Yara Stadium.
