Former Africa soccer champions, Kumasi Asante Kotoko have been drawn against Senegalese champions, ASC Linguere for next year's Orange CAF Champions League.
The 'Porcupine Warriors' will face the four-time Senegal FA Cup winners in the preliminary rounds of the prestigious Club competition.
The draw conducted at the headquarters of the Secretariat of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) in Cairo, Egypt on Tuesday gathered by GNA Sports pits the Kumasi-based Club against the West African minnows, as far as continental Club football is concerned.
According to the draw, Kotoko will trek to Saint-Louis on the weekend of February 12 to February 14, 2010 for the first leg.
Kotoko will then host the return leg on the weekend of February 26 to February 28, 2010 at the Baba Yara stadium, Kumasi.
The winner of the Kotoko-Linguere encounter will face the winner of the Djoliba (Mali) verses Ahly Benghazi (Libya) at the 1/16th round.
The Porcupine Warriors are the nation's solitary representatives in the continental Club championship following the withdrawal of Accra Hearts of Oak, Kpando Heart of Lions and Kumasi King Faisal.
Lions and Faisal were billed to participate in the Orange CAF Confederation Cup.
