Cape Coast Ebusua Dwarfs played a highly spirited game to beat Premier League side, Sekondi Eleven Wise 2-1 in a friendly soccer match played at the Robert Mensah stadium, Cape Coast at the week-end.
Wise who paraded most of their regular players led by Dan Quaye and Papa Essien, forced Dwarfs to play in their own half and twice came close to scoring but Essien wasted the chances that came his way.
Dwarfs gradually warmed themselves into the picture from the 10th minute and following persistent pressure on the visitors, they earned a penalty from which Mustapha Douglas scored to bring the half time score to 1-0 in their favour.
Back from the recess, Dwarfs continued to dictate affairs and it came as no surprise when in the 55th minute they increased the tally to two through another spot kick which was also converted by Douglas.
Wise managed to reduce the goal tally in the 65th minute through John Appiah to end the entertaining friendly to an end.
In another encounter, Cape Coast Venomous Vipers fought from two goals down in the first half to beat Adisadel Astronomers 4-2.
