The wife of ex-Black Stars striker, Augustine Arhinful is dead.
Barbara Arhinful 32, died Friday Morning at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra, after a short illness.
Confirming the news to Citi Sports, Augustine Arhinful said, Barbara died shortly on arrival at the 37 Military hospital.
“I was shocked; it wasn’t a serious sickness. She only complained this dawn and we took her to the hospital. Whatever happens is the will of God.” He said.
Augustine Arhinful played alongside Abedi Pele, Kwame Ayew, Yaw Preko, and, Sam Johnson, among others, in the 1990s for the Black Stars.
He played for the then Obuasi Goldfields Football Club before moving to Europe where he featured for clubs in Germany, Italy, Switzerland and Turkey.
