Just reward for Eric Bekoe as the former Ghanaian top scorer claims two awards by the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG).
The former Asante Kotoko striker on Saturday was decorated with the Premiership Player of the Year plus the Top Scorer for the 2007/8 Premier League season.
Impressive goal scoring run in the 2007/08 OneTouch Premier League saw him finish the season with 17 goals which propelled him to new heights.
Bekoe, who now plays for Petrojet in Egypt, leads the league with 11 goals. But he missed the opportunity of winning the most prestigious award for 2008 Sports Personality of the Year.
The striker and Ghana international Sulley Muntari were edged to the award by professional boxer, Joshua Clottey – a former IBF Welterweight Champion.
