Sekondi Eleven Wise on Sunday a determined game to beat visiting Kumasi King Faisal 2-1 in their 10th week Glo Premier League match at the Sekondi Sports Stadium at Essipong.
The visitors over stretched Wise in the early stages of the match in their relentless drive to put Wise on the carpet but Enoch Ebo Andoh who spearheaded the attacks missed a clear scoring opportunity in the fifth minute.
Playing with determination, Wise pounced on their opponents with series of attacks upfront and Prince Appiah took advantage of a defensive blunder to deliver a shot from outside the penalty area of the opponents to register the first goal for Wise in the sixth minute.
King Faisal played tooth and nail for an equalizer which came their way in the 28th minute through Enoch Ebo Appiah who had earlier found the net in the 22nd minute but the goal was disallowed.
Back from the recess, Wise geared up their attack again and kept the opponents goal area boiling for the greater part of the second half but had to wait until the 80th minute when William Owusu gamely scored the winning goal for the home side.
King Faisal played frantically after the goal in search of the equalizer and in an effort to make amends but it was too late as the Wise rear played defensively to consolidate their lead till the final whistle.
