The league will be playing in honour of the death of youngster, Batholomew Yeboah of Kessben FC who passed away on Monday.

However, the clash between rivals, Kotoko and Hearts in Kumasi is expected to re-ignite the passion of Ghana football and the competition despite the unfortunate loss. The big clash is one of the weekend’s six games on match-day-22 with two other fixtures rescheduled for next Wednesday in the Glo Premier League.

Two games will be honoured today as leaders, Aduana Stars travel to the Anane Boateng Stadium to meet Kessben FC. At the Golden City Park, Chelsea and New Edubiase will be attempting to play out of relegation when both sides meet.

There is a sense of déjà vu on the horizon for both Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak as the two big clubs in the domestic competition go head-to-head on Sunday. It’s not been a smooth sailing campaign for both sides this season who share between 41 titles in the elite division.

But going into the weekend clash at the Baba Yara Stadium, Kotoko would be hoping that events of the past dos not replay itself as they aim to close the gap on their opponents. Hearts had the better of the Porcupine Warriors last season at the same grounds where they won the game 1-0 courtesy a Bernard Dong-Bortey strike.

He is not expected to make the Phobian party to Kumasi as Kotoko will attempt to end their poor run against the champions at home and cut the four-point game as they trail Hearts.Berekum Arsenals will battle Liberty Professionals at the Golden City Park on Sunday with Great Olympics hosting King Faisal at the El-Wak Stadium.

AshantiGold will be at home when Real Tamale United coming visiting the Len Clay Stadium. Wa All Stars and Heart of Lions have had their weekend’s match-day-22 games rescheduled to next Wednesday, March 17.

The Premier League Board’s decision to postpone the games involving both sides is due to their player contributions to the local Black Stars competing in the final qualifying in the African Nations Championship – CHAN on Saturday. All Stars were billed to play bottom-side Hasaacas at the Wa Park while Lions will now have to travel to the Sekondi Sports Stadium on Wednesday to meet Eleven Wise.
