Four licensed Ghanaian football coaches have been presented with certificates after completing a three week coaching course in Germany.
Tanko Ibrahim Shaibu, Maxwell Konadu, Didi Mas-Ud Dramani and Ben Fokuo were handed their DFB-Coaching Certificates by the German Ambassador in Ghana Dr Marius Haas in Accra.
A statement issued from the German Embassy in Accra on Monday copied to GNA Sports said each participant also received a set of sports equipment.
It said the coaches were invited by the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs to attend a three-week coaching course organised by the German Football Association (DFB) at the Sports Centre, Hennef, Germany.
The 32nd International DFB-coaching course (Advanced Level) took place from August 31st to September 18th, 2009 in Hennef, Germany.
The statement said the course was attended by licensed football trainers from all over the world with the aim of obtaining the international DFB Coaching Certificate.
According to the statement, requirements for participation were not only based on physical fitness and good command of English, but also adequate experience in adult and junior soccer training.
The training and concluding examination included subjects such as "reflections on the development of football", "tactics" and "sports and football specific medicine", the statement added.
