Big name players were missing from Ghana’s first training session at the Ohene Djan Stadium on Thursday which involved 13 players.
Sunderland ace Asamoah Gyan, Kevin-Prince Boateng, Derek Boateng, John Mensah, Sulley Muntari and Michael Essien were absent.
Andre Ayew, Lee Addy and Derek Boateng are expected to arrive later in the week.
Goalkeepers trio Richard Kingson, Sammy Adjei and Ernest Sowah were present and defenders John Paintsil, David Addy, Daniel Opare, Isaac Vorsah and Samuel Inkoom took part in the exercise.
Returnee Opoku Agyemang, Anthony Annan, Emmanuel Clottey, Emmanuel Agyeman-Badu and Dominic Adiyiah completed the pack.
The 2010 Fifa World Cup quarter-finalists are preparing for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Congo in Kumasi on 3 June.
