Fulham manager Mark Hughes confirmed this week John Pantsil will not be offered new terms and will be allowed to leave in the summer.
The Ghana international has been followed by Genoa since last year’s World Cup.
However, the Italians could face competition from West Bromwich Albion, where manager Roy Hodgson worked with Pantsil while in charge of Fulham.
Pantsil had a bad season by scoring three own goals this term and lost his starting place at right-back.
He hopes to secure a club next month before the start of the new season in Europe.
