Prior to kick off on match-day-29, eight clubs were involved in the relegation dogfight - AshantiGold being the latest to have joined the nervous finish - in the Glo Premier League.

But after Sunday's round of matches, four clubs - Berekum Arsenals, AshantiGold, Mighty Jets and King Faisal are still mired in the relegation struggles with just one place in the second tier of Ghana football yet to be confirmed.

After 18 goals were recorded from eight venues, Real Tamale United have ended their 33-year stay in the elite division after losing 1-0 to New Edubiase at the Gyemfis Park.

RTU fell to a first half goal from the spot by Stephen Manu as they would play their final game in the premiership and at home on June 5 against Aduana Stars before bidding goodbye to top-flight football.

And they now join B.A. Stars into relegation awaiting the third side.

Ebusua Dwarfs pulled away to safety after a 2-1 win against AshantiGold, who before the game had suffered points deduction following a disciplinary decision.

Wa All Stars are safe and assured of premiership football after beating Jets 2-0 at the Wa Park with goals from Samuel Boateng and Frank Safo Gyamfi.

Jets now need a win on the final day without depending on the outcome of the other matches to seal their place in the elite division.

Nana Poku and Bennent Ofori helped Arsenals to a 2-0 victory away over B.A. Stars though they are still caught in the relegation zone.

Former champions, Aduana Stars further pushed King Faisal into the bottom three after a Nurudeen Ali brace handed them a 2-0 home win.

Asante Kotoko's hopes of finishing second is over after Liberty Professionals came from behind to stun them in a 3-2 win at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Ahmed Toure and Nathaniel Asamoah scored for Kotoko but they were undone by an injury time goal by Michael Helegbe, who scored a brace with Alfred Nelson also finding target.

Medeama moved second when they completed the league double over Hearts of Oak at the Ohene Djan Stadium with a 3-2 victory. Louis Agyemang returned to haunt his former side when he grabbed the winner after Emmanuel Dogbe and Hans Kwoffie had scored for Medeama. Wilson Andoh and Douglas Nkrumah scored for the Phobians.

Champions, Berekum Chelsea drew goalless with Heart of Lions at the Golden City Park.
