Ghana midfielder Ahmed Barusso is set to stay with Italian second-tier side Livorno after the club expressed interest in signing him from giants AS Roma.
The burly ball-battling midfielder spent last season at the Armando Picchi on loan from AS Roma and looks set to make a permanent move to Tuscany if Livorno meet his asking price.
Barusso, who has made five appearances for the Ghana national team, confirmed to Accra-based Asempa FM he is likely to remain with Livorno.
Im still a Roma player but Livorno have expressed interest in me and want me to stay. So its likely I will stay with the club, he said.
The 26-year-old has had stints with Siena, Brescia, Torino and Turkish side Galatasaray.
