The Greater Accra RFA chairman received the shocking endorsement in the first meeting of the newly sworn-in Executive Committee in their maiden meeting on Saturday.
Anagbla takes over from Fred Pappoe who was widely tipped to retain the post following his impressive work in the last five years.
Pappoe was in charge of the massive transformation of Ghana�s national team that led to their first two appearances at the World Cup.
He was expected to stay in charge to continue pushing for the progress of the Black Stars but the newly elected executives voted against him.
