Several Black Stars players and Togolese international Emmanuel Adebayor wept uncontrollably when they visited the family home of Alhaji Ibrahim Sly Tetteh who died on Saturday.
This is due to the unpalatable news of the sudden death of Alhaji Sly Tetteh , the President of Liberty Professionals Football Club.
The usually lively and activity filled lobby of the Movenpick Hotel (the team base) was uncharacteristically very quiet with most of the players locked up in the various rooms with some even failing to come down for the afternoon launch.
The few who were spotted were clearly trying very hard to put up brave faces and smiles just to keep up with the few friends, family and fans present.
Most of the players in camp of which six were in the starting lineup for Fridays 2-0 win over Swaziland were all products Tettehs Liberty Academy.
The world renowned football administrator died early Saturday morning while playing the game he loved and served his whole life in Cape Coast.
The Black Stars team left Accra on Saturday night for London ahead of their international date with Brazil on Monday.
