Ghanaian youngster Bright Addae has secured a work permit that will enable him to play for Italian Serie A side Parma.
The 19-year-old defender-cum-midfielder left Accra on Tuesday night and will join the senior side on Friday.
The 2009 FIFA Under-20 World Cup winner signed a four-year pre-contract last year but the Gialloblu were unable to finalise his registration.
His transfer came as a result of the Italian federations decision to allow Serie A clubs to sign two non-European Union players per season instead of just one.
This decision has helped me to do the deal for Bright, the players agent Oliver Arthur told MTNFootball.com.
I hope he will make the nation proud and provide an opportunity for others to follow suit.
I am very happy about this move, after waiting for one whole year.
