Ex Ghana captain Abedi Pele says Ghana’s final 23-man squad for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations to be released on Thursday should be acceptable to all.
There have been heightened expectations ahead of the squad announcement at a Press Conference with many making various suggestions over who should make the squad.
However the Ghana legend who has two of his sons in contention says the Black Stars squad to be released by Coach Goran Stevanovic should be an acceptable one without any preferential treatment.
“I expect him (Stevanovic) to name a good squad that all Ghanaians hope for so we have a good team capable of winning the African Cup,” he told Takoradi-based Melody FM. “If my sons don’t deserve to be in the team then that should not be a problem but if they do then that os fine.”
The Black Stars are expected to commence camping ahead of the finals on January 7 in South Africa.
