CARLO ANCELOTTI has warned that Chelsea's Champions League push will come to a bitter end against Napoli. And the former Stamford Bridge boss does not rate Arsenal's chances either — because English football is "not very well."
With the Manchester clubs making shock exits, it is left to the pride of London to fly the flag in the knockout stages. But Ancelotti fears for them both — especially Arsenal, who take on AC Milan, another one of his old clubs.
Ancelotti said: "They are balanced matches with the Italians as favourites. "Italian football has made steps forward and after the elimination of City and United, English football is not very well."Napoli can play Chelsea as equals.
"Napoli have already had a little difficult period, but it seems they're getting back on track."
The Gunners' clash against AC Milan looks tougher, with the Italian giants second in Serie A, just behind Juventus. Ancelotti, who spent eight years at the San Siro and won the Champions League twice, said: "I am a Milan fan, so I find it hard to be rational.
"But they are superior to Arsenal. They have great players."
