Ghana football is mourning the death of popular Black Stars fan Adjei Abbas Oparaku, nicknamed �Bayawa� at the age of 44.
He died on Wednesday 21 December at the Police Hospital in Accra after a short illness and was buried on Thursday at the Madina cemetery according to Islamic customs.
Bayawa was one of the key members of the Ghana National Supporters Union (GHANSU).
He has followed the Black Stars to tournaments including the two World Cup finals in 2006 and 2008.
Bayawa has also been at several Africa Cup of Nations finals.
He left behind three children.
