Asante Kotoko have threatened to drag a number of media houses to court for false publications about the health of striker Ahmed Toure.
The Ivorian was reported to have failed a medical at Egyptian side Al Masry which denied him a deal.
But the player insisted he passed the examination and was negotiating for a deal.
Kotoko have vowed to battle the media who continue to speculate about Toures health.
Some media outfits carried the reports without the ability to substantiate and authenticate the report, the clubs spokesperson Listowell Bukarson told Kumasi-based Angel FM.
Our legal team and medical team have taken up the matter reviewing it because going out to make such reports about a player of his calibre is demeaning.
We are going to pick the media houses who published the story individually to simply come to court to prove their report and tell us where they got the report because its very worrisome to both Kotoko and the player, he added.
