Hearts of Oak midfielder Laryea Kingson claims Black Stars striker Asamoah Gyan unlike other footballers cannot withstand pressure.
The 30-year-old believes the Al Ain ace was forced to stand down from the national team after failing to deal with the excessive criticisms.
Kingston told Sunyani-based Storm FM: I dont think it was ever his intention to quit the Black Stars in the first place but he was forced to do so realizing the pressure was too much for him.
But these are some of the things that you must be able to deal with as a footballer.
You have to get a strong mentality to be able to play football to the highest level because you dont expect to take praises and avoid criticisms in that stance.
Gyan, 26, issued a statement stating his decision to take an indefinite break from the Black Stars but has since hinted a comeback very soon.
