Ghana has named an 18-man squad to face Chile in an international friendly on Wednesday in Philadelphia.
Midfielder Afriyie Acquah and forwards Richard Mpong and Dominic Oduro earn their first senior national team callups in the Black Stars’ first outing since its disappointing run at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.
The local component of the team is expected to fly out to the USA after Sunday’s Premier League fixtures with the foreign legion joining in from their respective bases after their weekend’s club commitments.
The Black Stars will be hoping to secure a win to kick start a fresh bid in preparations towards the 2013 and 2014 Africa and World Cup qualifiers respectively in June.
Ghana finished fourth at the just ended Nations Cup jointly hosted by Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
