Ghana and Gefle player, Joachim Adukor, has said that he is looking forward to cementing a place in the first team as the Swedish Allsvenskan kicks off.
The 18-year-old, who is hoping to be part of the Ghana Under-20 set-up in the summer, has been working hard and believes that this diligence will serve him well later in the year.
“It was a fantastic pre-season,” Adukor told Goal.com. “It was my first pre-season abroad and I had the chance to experience new things, new atmosphere and places.”
“We were on a training-camp in Cyprus; I really worked hard and learned many things,” he added.
Having arrived into a settled Gefle side, Adukor was limited for playing-time last season. But after having impressed during the pre-season camping, he is now an important member of the first-team squad for this campaign.
“My first objective is to establish myself in the first-team,” he continued. “I am very young and I have been working hard to achieve that.
“The squad is very settled, the coach knows his players very well. It isn't easy and I must keep working hard. I believe I can take my chances.”
