Asante Kotoko boss Maxwell Konadu is tipped to be made the assistant coach of the Black Stars following the appointment of Akwasi Appiah on a permanent basis.
The Ghana Federation confirmed Appiah as the substantive coach of the West African powerhouse based on his experience with the team.
The former Black Stars captain will meet the Ghana Federation on Tuesday to discuss the details of his contract.
The issue of his deputy will also feature prominently with the Asante Kotoko boss hugely tipped to assist him due to his successful working relationship with the countrys Olympic team.
The duo spearheaded the countrys first ever gold medal in football at the 2011 All Africa Games in Maputo and its widely believed Appiah will seek to renew the working relationship.
Coach Konadu has also worked wonders at the local giant where he has inspired them to the top of the Ghana Premier League, leading arch-rivals Hearts of Oak by ten points with 7 games to spare.
Appiah replaces Serbian trainer Goran Stevanovic who was relieved of his post last month following his failure to win the 2012 African Cup of Nations.
