Ghanas Phil Ofosu Ayeh has seen a meteoric rise in form of late for his club Rot Weiss Erfurt in Germany where he has become a constant feature for the Bundesliga III outfit.
The right back who showed interest in featuring for Ghana ahead of Germany where he was born thinks there is no team like the Black stars on the continent despite recent defeat to Zambia.
As far as the global game of football is concerned Ghana is number in Africa, given their performance at the World cup in South Africa 2010.
Personally, I feel more Ghanaian and would always be ready to play for my fathers country when the opportunity comes, Ofosu-Ayeh stated.
Ofosu Ayeh was left out of the last Under-20 side due to latter hiccups with his documents. For now the player who has featured 24 times consistently for Rot Weiss Erfurt thinks there is more to achieve playing for his country and that keeps driving him on to work harder than before.
The number of clubs after the services of Ofosu Ayeh keeps growing as Newcastle Utd of England and Galatasaray of Turkey, all ponder adding the tall and intelligent defender to their fold.
There have been a number of Ghanaians of half foreign background who made u-turn to play for Ghana after persuasion but Ofosu Ayehs case is quite different, as the player himself sees the need to appear in the colours for his fathers country, Ghana.
