Ex-international Emmanuel Osei Kuffour wants Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah to recall Hearts of Oak midfielder Laryea Kingston.
The 2000 CAF Champions League gold medal winner with Hearts has been monitoring the local league and wants Appiah to give equal opportunities to quality local players.
Kingston,30, has scored two goals since re-joining Hearts in January after ill-fated spells abroad.
Kuffour, a former Kotoko and AshantiGold player, believes the former Heart of Midlothian ace has been impressive in the Ghana Premier League.
We should give the chance to people like Emmanuel Baffour and Laryea Kingston to prove themselves, the former Dwarfs player told Pravda Radio.
We have other players at Berekum Chelsea and Kotoko like Nii Adjei and the rest must be given an opportunity too.
Appiah has promised to give hand call-ups to deserving locally-based players.
Ghana will begin their 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Zambia in June.
