Sunderland striker Asamoah Gyan says he is still waiting for a call from manager Martin ONeill over his return to the Stadium of Light.
Gyan is on loan at UAE Pro League side Al Ain but his stay ends at the end of the season this month.
The lack of communication between the 26-year-old and the Premier League club has put his future in serious doubt.
A delegation from the Wearside were sent to Al Ain to check on Gyans progress but the Ghana star revealed he is still waiting for ONeills call.
I havent spoken to anybody (from Sunderland) since Ive been here, Gyan told a press conference on Tuesday.
I heard the manager wanted to call me, I waited for his call but no call came I am still here.
Gyan has had a successful loan spell having rattled in 19 goals to lead the scorers chart with two matches remaining.
