Ghana midfielder Andre Ayew says he never thought about joining French Ligue 1 big spenders Paris Saint-Germain in the summer.
The Olympique Marseille talisman was linked with a move away from the Stade Velodrome before the transfer window shut at the end of August.
Ayew came through the ranks at Marseille just like his junior brother Jordan and has risen to become a firm staple.
His father, Abedi Pele, is a club legend and helped the Olympians to win the UEFA Champions League in 1993.
"It has never been my dream to play for PSG. For me, Marseille is the biggest club in France. It is not a question of the PSG's image but identity," the 22-year-old said in an interview.
"I was trained in OM, the club of my father. I grew up here."
Leaders Marseille host second-place PSG at home in next Sunday's Classique.
