Ghana�s Black Stars have been drawn in Group B ahead of Ivory Coast who now occupy Group D�s top spot.
Ghana are drawn in Group B with Mali,Niger and DR Congo
The Black Stars will be based in Port Elizabeth while Ivory Coast will be in Rustenburg.
The Black Stars were one the four top-seeded teams for next year's finals alongside hosts South Africa who are in Group A and will be based in Durban, title holder Zambia in Group C in Nelspruit and Ivory Coast.
Ghana and Ivory Coast were vying for either Rustenburg or Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape Province ahead of the draw.
The tournament takes place in South Africa between 19 January and 10 February 2013.
South Africa will kick off the event on 19 January against Cape Verde at Johannesburg's FNB Stadium, formerly known as Soccer City.
The same venue which was used for the World Cup final, will host the final.
Meanwhile, Tacoma was unveiled as the tournament mascot.
Teams in the same pot were not drawn against each other.
