Striker Ransford Osei insists he is not overly concerned with his barren run at Asante Kotoko.

The 22-year-old is yet to get off the mark since joining the champions at the start of the season.

Fans of the Porcupine Warriors are increasingly growing impatient with their strikers considering their enourmous ball possession and plethora of chances created during games.

And one of such players who have received the larger share of criticisms is Osei who seems to have forgotten the art that made him one of the most feared strikers at youth level.

He however remains calm on his goal drought and says he is working hard to regain his spark.

“I am not too much bothered by my goal drought,” he told MTNFootball.com.

“It is true as a striker your main aim is to score but I picked up an injury which I just recovered from.

“So considering my situation I don’t think it is much of a problem.

“I keep working hard in training and I am sure it (the goals) will gradually come.”

Osei burst onto the scene as one of the renowned born finishers at youth level in World football.

He took the 2007 Africa and World U17 championships by storm where he won the golden and the silver ball awards at the respective tournaments.

The former player of the defunct Kessben FC also played a key role in 2009 feat of the Ghana U20 team in the African and World Cups in Rwanda and Egypt respectively.

His star however started fading with his first overseas move to Israel where he joined Maccabi Haifa and then subsequently to FC Twente and South African club Bloemfontein Celtic.

Osei returned to the Ghanaian top flight with Asante Kotoko this term in his attempt to salvage what is left of of his career but has failed so far to hit the ground running.
